As founder and Director of the Melbourne Institute of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, I would like to welcome you to our new website.

I am proud to announce that MIVIR is progressing in its fourth year. What an exciting time we have had and even more is to come. We are still committed to be a truly independent clinical Interventional Radiology practice that provides state- of- the- art diagnosis and management of vascular disease.

Situated within St Vincents Private Cardiovascular Care Centre, we employ a holistic approach to the cardiovascular system, treating it as a single unit rather than separating the heart from the rest of the circulatory system.

Our focus is therefore first and foremost on a wellness of a patient, prevention, diagnosis and treatment as well as rehabilitation programs.

MIVIR unique multidisciplinary team approach incorporates a dedicated network of highly trained technical, nursing and medical professionals working together to provide the highest quality and world’s best practice in minimally invasive surgery.

Recent advances have revolutionized the treatment of brain aneurysms, stroke and carotid disease. MIVIR will provide all these interventions and we will keep you updated on cutting edge innovations as they arrive.

We provide numerous diagnostic and therapeutic procedures outside the vascular system and, in addition to the vascular procedures; we will showcase many of the non-vascular interventions that we provide on our website in coming weeks. From a simple venous access procedure to the latest in cancer interventions, we will be continuously posting information about what we do. So please check back often!
